When I do not fully understand something I feel mistrusting and unsure. If I have any choice I always prefer to get out of that situation. All in all there are many things you can resign from.
If the transaction worth a lot of money would not be transparent for me I would rather resigning from the project in order to avoid being cheated. Sometimes it is more reasonable not to earn than to lose everything.
This is why my company’s politics emphasise clearance and open attitude to the client. We do everything to explain everything fully and honestly which encourages the people to come back to us.
